They are the first middle school in Kansas to receive this distinction! This was made possible through the tremendous efforts of the Student Lighthouse Team and the Staff Lighthouse Team over the past four years!

The Roster has been announced for the Southwest Kansas Music Educators Association. This year, there will be 21 schools in attendance. Only the top 200 7th and 8th graders are selected to be in the choir. This year, we had 10 students make it into the Honor Choir! 6th grade will be announced in November. Both Lady Warrior Soccer Teams worked hard for their final game of the season before WAC on Thursday. Varsity ended with a 1-1 draw, with a goal scored from Ashley Batista. JV ended on a WIN! A final score of 2-1 saw goals from Miranda Avila and Angel Luna, with an assist from Jackie Gutierrez. Congratulations Girls!

EMS Lady Soccer fought hard today against Dodge City's Comanche teams. Varsity finished strong with a 2-0 win. Goals were scored by Dennise Garcia and Lily Santiago. Throughout both halves the girls made quick passes and smart plays. JV also worked hard, but lost by the small margin of 0-1. They play Horace Good on Thursday in Garden City. Good luck Lady Warriors!
